06.06.20 Special Saturday Breakfast

I like to make breakfast feel special on a weekend. More often than not I do eggs but since we moved, I’ve been wanting to visit our local bakery. Today, I decided to put on a continental breakfast spread with freshly baked bread, juicy fruit and cheese.

We had strawberries, banana and red grapes in our fruit bowl alongside some orange juice. For spreads, I placed some raspberry jam and honey on the table. At the bakery, I bought a french baguette and some croissants which I warmed in the oven before serving. To balance out the sweetness from the fruit and spreads, we had some mature cheddar cheese with bread and butter too.

It’s nice to sit together and have a leisurely breakfast. During the week, we don’t always have breakfast at the same time so spending our Saturday morning sipping coffee and planning our day is a great way to start the weekend.

I’m looking forward to weather warming up again so that we can eat breakfast in the garden.

Always remember to take a ‘paws’!
