Good afternoon reader!
Before we moved, we were living in a rural village with lots of safe outdoor space for walking Clover off the lead. Her walks very rarely involved being on the lead and the open fields allowed us to throw the ball back and forth for her.
If Clover only walks on the lead, she’s a pain at home. Chewing and barking are her specialty so it’s important that we tire her out. Where we live is amazing. If we walk in one direction, we eventually reach the high street with restaurants and shops. The opposite direction takes us to the woods. We couldn’t believe our luck when we found this beautiful area and realised that Clover could run freely in a safe space away from traffic.

It’s now our go-to spot for her daily walks, just a 5 minute walk from our house. There’s also a great big park with a lake that we can drive to but we haven’t visited there yet. We wanted her to feel familiar with the woods first.
I realise what a privilege it is to live in an area with lots of nature and fresh area and I won’t be taking it for granted.
Always remember to take a ‘paws’!
