Hello reader and Happy Sunday!
Today I want to give you a gentle reminder that you are wonderful just the way you are. The phrase ‘diet starts Monday’ is well known to all of us. We feel so much pressure to conform to unrealistic beauty standards that it is easy to fall into the diet culture trap.
Read here why diet culture is the problem, not you.
I wanted to let you know that you don’t need to start your diet tomorrow – or ever. If you’re writing up your meal plan today, add the meals that you want to eat. When you’re scheduling your days for the week ahead, write down the workouts that make you feel good when you move your body.

The more that we restrict the foods we eat, the more we crave and the more we binge. Putting pressure on ourselves to exercise in ways that we don’t enjoy, only makes us see working out as a chore. Having a healthy, active lifestyle doesn’t mean clean eating and exercising every day. It means moving your body in ways you enjoy. Taking a walk, dancing in your kitchen, morning meditative yoga. It means eating a balanced variety of meals that includes all the food groups and pudding.
If you’re thinking about starting something new on Monday, try intuitive living. Start your week by listening to your body. Engage with yourself. Why do we allow others to tell us how to live our lives? You know you best. Trust yourself. Trust your body.
I hope you have had a wonderful weekend. Always remember to take a ‘paws’!
